Frequently Asked Questions

Email Connexus
Who signs the declaration?

The shipper or consignor remains responsible for approving and signing the declaration. Connexus Solutions does not sign it on the customer's behalf.

Does this guarantee carrier acceptance?

No. Final acceptance remains with the carrier or operator, and their own requirements or interpretations may apply. Connexus helps identify potential documentation, packing or shipment issues before submission to the carrier, reducing the risk of avoidable disruption.

Do you review all DG classes?

No. Class 7 (Radioactive Material) is excluded. All other shipments remain subject to shipment-specific eligibility and review.

Do you offer shipping?

Depending on the client's requirements, Connexus Solutions may recommend suitable shipping options where these are available. Shipping availability is assessed separately from our documentation and guidance services.

What if I do not know whether the goods are dangerous?

You do not need to determine this before contacting Connexus. If you are unsure how a commodity should be treated for transport, we can review the product information, including the SDS where available, and the intended shipment as part of DG Packing Guidance. The outcome may also identify where the goods can move without full dangerous goods treatment.

Am I a suitable client for Connexus?

Yes. Connexus Solutions supports businesses of different sizes and at different stages of development, from new start-ups and sole traders through to established organisations and large corporations. Our services can be tailored to the scale, complexity and requirements of the individual business or project, subject to the service scope.

Who are your typical clients?

We support businesses across a range of sectors where dangerous goods form part of the product, shipment or supply chain. Typical sectors include oil and gas, healthcare and medical, manufacturing, e-commerce, laboratories, electronics and businesses handling products such as chemicals or lithium batteries.

Do you accept international clients?

Yes. Connexus Solutions supports business customers internationally, including businesses with shipments that do not originate from or travel through the United Kingdom. Our services are designed to support both UK and international dangerous goods requirements, subject to the individual shipment and service scope.

How quickly will Connexus review my request?

Our standard service aim is a turnaround within 24 hours once the information required for the assessment has been received. More complex shipments or cases requiring additional information may take longer.

What information will I need to provide?

The information required depends on the service, but this will normally include a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS), shipment quantities, packaging information and the intended transport mode. Our online forms will guide you through the information required for your particular request.
